This DIY 5 LED spreader comes with 5 bright LED bulbs mounted in a 16mm X 10mm X 65mm enclosure. The two outer set leds are at a 45 degree angle, the two mid set are a 60 degree, and the center led is 90 degree. They come with 3 foot long, 22 gauge and 2-wire black sheathed lead that can be widely used in any 12 volt application for home decoration and auto modding.

Bought two of these for lighting the dash area of my car, The led's are quite bright,but not overwelming,I believe they come in three colors,red,blue,and white. The outer case is plastic-chrome finish. The two connecting red and black wires come out from the top/edge of case and were plenty long for hookup.It does not come with a off and on switch,you have to add that yourself,or wire direct to come on with your dash lights.At a little more then six dollars apiece with shipping I found these to be a steal.

bought two of these to put under the front seats in my car, they are smaller than i expected(about the size of a lighter) though this is a plus since its easier to mount now, very nice RED leds

When I bought the red LED I wasn't sure what to expect, but I never knew they would be so BRIGHT. You could drop the voltage down and use these in a darkroom (just not at 12V! - they'd be way too bright) or keep the voltage at 12V and light up your clear computer case in a bright dazzling red.
People who put neon transformers and bulbs or skinny florescent lights and ballasts really are not looking at the big picture of LEDs now days. They can put out more light - if you want colors they can do that too, and they don't use any high voltages or make any buzzing noise on the electrical wires. In fact, the power draw by a bunch of these LEDs is less than a single light bulb!
Here is what makes these 5 led strips so unique. First off the leds themselves are among the brightest out there to begin with while using so little power many small meters just read 0 because its out of their range, but then when you combine that with the reflector assembly that surrounds the LEDs you get great dispersion of light. Two LEDs face left, two right, and one straight ahead. The reflector around them gathers excess spill light from the LEDs and sends it out along with their powerful beam to make it a wide angle well dispersed light that catches your eyes from many angles.
Other uses for DIY'ers would be a high mounted 3rd stop light on SUVs and older trucks that didn't come with one, battery powered flares with no fire risk and on and on.
LED lights are becomming more and more common these days - light up plastic signs with no fire risk and brilliant color, light up computers with clear cases, save engery, heat, money and have brilliant rich, pure color you can not obtain from filtered incandescent lights. In fact, the red shown on the screen is not as close to the red from these LEDs I have put to use.
Getting five high output LEDs plus a mirrored plastic reflector assembly that is custom fitted, wired and tested for four dollars is a great deal for the hobbiest or builder. Just apply 10-13.8V to the assembly and enjoy the brilliant red this offers.

After struggling with defective factory and aftermarket third brake lights on my '92 Camaro I came across this and it's been working just fine for a couple of months now. It's bright, red, and comes with a generous amount of wiring. I'd recommend it, and buy it again if I ever needed to.
